In Huntsville City Schools, there is a vast deviation in students' achievement scores in most schools in the Black communities and the students' interest in Science, Math, and Reading.

Huntsville Schools got a "C" on the State Report Card from the Alabama Department of Education in 2020. The report card was based on several factors, including academic achievements, growth, graduation rates, absenteeism, college, and career-ready data. According to the State Test Scores, 44% of students are at least proficient in Math and 46% in reading.

Your donation or sponsorship will help the students in our tutorial programs, scholarships, two (2) day STEM/STEAM Summer Camp, New Media Art Center Annual Awards Program, and public recognition. New Media Arts Center is a non-profit organization and a division of Speakin' Out News. Speakin' Out News is the longest-running African American Newspaper in history, published in the city of Huntsville for over 42 years. It has worked with K-12 schools, higher education, and community organizations.
