AAMU Among HBCUs IBM Will Partner with to Address Cybersecurity Talent Shortage

IBM has announced AAMU is one of the 20 Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) it will collaborate with to establish Cybersecurity Leadership Centers to address the cybersecurity talent shortage.

IBM says the centers will create talent for employers and opportunities for student by allowing faculty and students at participating schools to have access to coursework, lectures, immersive training experiences, certifications, IBM Cloud-hosted software, and professional development resources, all at no cost.

This includes access to cybersecurity curricula customized to each university, software and professional development, forums to exchange best practices, learning from IBM experts, and access to IBM internships and job openings.

IBM says with 500,000 unfilled cybersecurity jobs in the U.S., the need for expertise is critical.
